Illegal dumping continues to plague parts of the Great Trinity Forest. At close to 7,000 acres, it has been a challenge to monitor dumping scofflaws. We work with local law enforcement and the EPA to try to identify where the dumping occurs and to mitigate as quickly and as efficiently as possible. But we need the help of volunteers to get these major dumpsites cleaned up.
Cleanups
May 2009 corporate volunteers from Brown Foreman rolled out two tons of tires from an illegal dump along one of our trails
June 2008- Volunteers from the community participated in a major cleanup at Rochester Park in South Dallas and removed a half ton of trash along the ecologically sensitive wetlands
